What does a blue butterfly symbolize?

For the past few summers/springs there is a large bright blue butterfly that always stays in my backyard. Now my father pasted when i was eleven and my grandfather when i was thirteen.

I have always heard that the butterfly is looked at as a symbol of rebirth after death.
the life of the butterfly is just like the life of humans.
you start out as a fertilized egg born from your mothers womb just like the caterpillar is born from a fertilized egg.
the caterpillar spends all of its life working looking for food to survive just like humans do.
the caterpillar then encases itself in its cocoon as a human is encased in their coffin at death.
the caterpillar is then reborn into a beautiful butterfly symbolizing beauty and new life as it glides effortlessly on the breeze in all its glory. many say this is the symbol for humans that after death is a rebirth of a beautiful life in heaven as you glide effortlessly on the wings of an angel in heaven.
