Nautical Shells
Are these ok favors?
I am having my wedding on a boat (thenauticaqueen.com) and we are having kind of a beachy nautical theme, i purchased natural shell leis from oriental tradding company for each quest and we are also donating money to our aspca to help the animals, do i still need something else as a favor?
my friend said guests "expect to be pampered" and that i wasnt giving them enough, they are also getting a boat ride which usualy costs 40 some dollars...what do you think?
i thought they leis would be fun to wear while we party on the boat and bar hop after!
What you have planned sounds great. Especially since the donating money is a very nice unique touch that has a lot of meaning behind it. Plus the nice boat ride is a big thing as well. And it's your wedding, it's your day to be pampered, I don't think they're expecting much besides a good time. Sounds like your friend might be expecting more though.
Your guests should be able to see that and know that....1. Weddings cost a lot of money as it is so they shouldn't expect to much gifts but rather just a great time. and 2. The economy is rough, theres not enough room for just throwing gifts out there. Besides your guests expect you and your groom to understand when you recieve no wedding gift or a not so expensive one so why shouldn't they understand as well. And I think your guests do/will understand all this, they know it's not their day. I think it's just your friend thats thinking otherwise
