What is the name of those little bags u put things in (like a coin to remind you ur valuable) & tied w/ ribbon
For example it may have a small eraser in it so you know its ok to make mistakes, a coin to remind you your valuable etc..
They can have heaps of stuff in them, and everything has a tag attached and a note saying why this is important and they are all put into little bags (like the ones you get at weddings) and tied with ribbon...
I can not think what they are called.. WHAT ARE THEY!!! Im having a major mental blank!
Does anyone know what they are called, and any sites which may say how to make them?
Also, does anyone have any craft ideas which could be sold at fairs, local shops etc..?
So what is a mojo? It is, in short, the staple amulet of African-American hoodoo practice, a flannel bag containing one or more magical items. In the Memphis region, a special kind of mojo, worn only by women, is called a nation sack. A mojo used for divination, somehwat like a pendulum, is called a Jack, Jack bag, or Jack ball.
The word "gris-gris" looks French (and in French it would mean "grey-grey"), but it is simply a Frenchified spelling of the Central African word gree-gree (also sometimes seplled gri-gri). Gree-gree means "fetish" or "charm," thus a gris-gris or gree-gree bag is a charm bag.
